battery life calculator we call a complete charge and discharge of the battery (charge to the battery's rated highest charging voltage, discharge to the battery's rated lowest discharge voltage) a cycle, represented by q. when the q value of a lithium battery is 500~1000, its storage capacity decreases. to 70% of the original value (some say 80% during the shelf life), this is what we often call battery life. therefore, the life of the battery is not directly related to the number of charges we often say. if you charge the battery every time you use half of it, you will need to charge the battery twice as many times as you would to fully charge and discharge it.
